About Me

The great outdoors has always interested me and having an opportunity to share this with others is what drives me everyday. I fell in love with exploring wilderness areas while living in Nashville, Tennessee. Living here served as my gateway to explore the many wonders in the area and included several trips to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Early on I realized that my hiking adventures although outstanding were made even better when shared with others.

Currently living in northern Idaho now gives me the opportunity to explore new and exciting places. This site will be about backpacking with photography gear and will feature the best photos from each trip. My goal is to provide a blog with a focus on trip planning, gear used and the experience of each hike. To help support these trips I am selling select photos and in the future will be providing workshops aimed at helping others learn to use their gear to take memorable photos.
